영어회화책을 읽기는 처음. 회사에서 살짝 빌려서 후다다닥 본 책. 상황에 맞게, 책에서 방금 나온 듯한 딱딱한 문구들이 아닌 실제 생활에서 사용되는 회화 중심 문구로 구성되어 있어서 여기에 나온 문장 들만 외워도 영어 잘한다는 소리 들을 수 있다. 하지만 조금 아쉬운 점이 있다면, 내용을 취합할때 앞에 내용과 연관되는 듯 하면서 안되는 내용이 많고 전체적인 느낌이 좀 정신없다라는 점. 차라리 상황극으로 이럴땐 이런 표현만으로, 묶어서 구성을 했다면 좀 더 짜임새 있지 않았을까. 어쨌든, 표현 익히고 쉽게 따라하기에는 좋은... 더보기 -

실제로 영어를 많이 사용하는 친구에게서 이 책을 보내달라고 연락이 왔다. 그 덕에 나도 관심을 갖고 읽어보게 된 책이다. 그렇다. 네이티브는 쉬운 영어로 말한다. 어려운 단어 달달 외우며 토익이며 뭐며 닥치는 대로 공부했던 게 엊그제같다. 막상 이 책을 보면 어깨에 힘이 탁 빠진다. 정말 간단한 단어들이 많이 사용되어 있다. 그리고 다시 물어본다. 이 문장이 정말 이런 뜻이야? 물론 보면 이해가 가는 문장도 많지만 정말 쉬운 영어인데도 이해가 안가는 문장이 더러 있다. 이 책은 정말 나같은 직장인에게 꼭 필요한 책이... 더보기
